Team Building Retreat with Western Nevada College. WNC partnered with Jeffrey Benjamin of Breakthrough Training to facilitate a one day team building retreat in Carson City, Nevada for employees from different departments including finance, continuing education, maintenance, human resources, admissions and records, and facilities. A focus on team communication skills in the workplace for effective sharing of information both within and outside departments. Giving and receiving clear instructions, communication of role assignments and expectations to complete projects is emphasized. Several team building activities and deep discussion on strengthening team bonds at work and at home are examined.
Western Nevada College retreat participants learn about the 4 communication styles of Director, Socializer, Thinker and Relator. How to best work with and relate to people who share different communication preferences is a focus. Best practices for giving and receiving feedback to co-workers is thoroughly covered. How to praise and celebrate both individual and team achievements. Best practices to ensure your message is well received by an audience to enhance mutual understanding is discussed.
