Jeffrey Benjamin performed Master of Ceremonies for the Best Places to Work in Reno during the 8th Annual event. The celebration of appreciation took place at the Peppermill Casino Resort with over 450 attendees.

Northern Nevada Human Resources Association hosts the program to highlight companies that focus on creating a positive work environment built on respect, trust, appreciation, and employee professional and personal development. Survey results are conducted by Quantum provides the survey results provided by employees to determine how organizations qualify as finalists, and ultimately determent the winners in each category.

The winners:

MICRO BUSINESS – 15 to 25 Employees

1st Place – Healing Healthcare Systems

HHS produces and delivers the C.A.R.E. Channel. Roles include business development, video production, sales, support (client, tech and administrative) and accounting. Every role is in service to improving the hospital experience for patients, families and caregivers. What is the average length of employment? 5.5 years. What values are the most important in your work environment? Collaborative, egalitarian, creative, fun, supportive of team and individual education and growth. 2nd Place – Bradley, Drendel & Jeanney

3rd Place – KPS3

We handle crisis communications for clients we can’t mention. What is the average length of employment? 4.9 years. What is your company’s mission statement? 1st Place – SpineNevada Minimally Invasive Spine Institute

3rd Place – Sierra Nevada Journeys

Sierra Nevada Journeys is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that delivers innovative outdoor, science-based education programs for youth to develop critical thinking skills and to inspire natural resource stewardship. As the survey administrator, Quantum Workplace provides the analytical engine powering approximately 5,000 surveys annually and delivering the rankings to the publishing partners. Partnering business journals and associations announce the contest finalists and handle accompanying recognition events and publicity.

Jeffrey energized the audience through interactive audience participation that focused on the many ways to show and promote appreciation in the workplace.
