Public Speaking Skills Training with Clark Sullivan Construction

Clark Sullivan Construction teams with Jeffrey Benjamin and Breakthrough Training to facilitate public speaking skills training for 18 employees ranging from superintendents, foremen, project engineers, and project managers. In essence, this course is comprised of 9 separate modules. Collectively, participants delivered presentations during each session and received feedback on what they did well and what they need to improve as a presenter.

All in all, the focus of the training was to provide public speaking skills to help conduct everything from safety meetings, and project procurement as well as company meetings to meet the goals of the organization. At the center of this module team members are taught ways to better engage and interact with the people they lead in the field is discussed in great detail. In order to alleviate glossophobia, a simple and easy speech format is shared and practiced to deliver a successful presentation. With this in mind, techniques to deal with stress, anxiety, and fear are shared and practiced. Additionally, each participant organized and delivered presentations to peers during the training program. Each peer is evaluated by coworkers and given feedback and coaching on how to improve presentation skills.
