Truckee Meadows Community College partnered with Jeffrey Benjamin to facilitate their annual professional development staff team building retreat. Over 35 TMCC teachers, coordinators and administrators engage in a full day team building retreat in Reno, Nevada. The one day training was packed with numerous team building activities to build relationships with co-workers across multiple departments. The end goal is to service students and provide educational outreach throughout the community.
An emphasis on best practices for workplace effective communication and effective team building is discussed and practiced. Critical thinking and problem solving as a team to conquer challenges to achieve goals was a major part of the program. Participants also engaged in setting personal and professional goals to lead a more productive life. Participants also choose a goal to process using the 8 Steps to Achieve Goals.
Breakthrough Training provides facilitation with departments in the Nevada Higher System of Education. The training location for the event is TMCC Meadowood Center at 5270 Neil Road, Reno, Nevada 89502.
